Dan McCann - Cochrane Alliance Church

Testimonial:

I was 13 years old the first time I played an electric guitar in church. It was the late 90s when a lot of churches were making the transition to a more modern worship style and the church I grew up in had never had a guitar on stage on a Sunday morning, much less an electric one. With my brother next to me on the equally controversial drum kit, we fumbled our way through hymns and choruses week after week into what would eventually become a life-long passion for serving the church through music.

Through those early years playing in church I came to understand one very important truth: my musical abilities are a gift from God, created to be used for His glory. That truth has guided me for nearly 30 years as a guitarist and worship leader.

And if my gifts are made for worship, then so are all of the tools I’ve been blessed with in that pursuit. I think that’s what drew me to Citizen Guitars. I want to play a guitar built by people who understand worship, who know that my instrument serves a higher purpose than just simple enjoyment.

I’ve played a lot of different guitars over the years - some great, and some not-so-great. From the second I got my hands on it, my Citizen Model CJ just felt like home. The neck feels incredible, the Goldo / Duesenberg trem is amazing and the pickups strike just the right balance between sparkly and powerful. This is definitely a guitar that will be with me for a long, long time.
