Jeff makes THE BEST guitars!! As someone who also started out playing metal music, I really appreciate some of the features incorporated on his guitars! The neck is just perfect! It reminds me of an Ibanez as far as feel and comparability! The luminlay side dots are such and underrated feature that I haven’t had on any other boutique guitar in the worship community! The people at Citizen Guitar Co. are doing it right!! The quality control is top notch! Paint is smooth and shiny! Electronics feel really good and definitely not cheap, and my favorite tremolo system is a standard option! I had some Duesenberg guitars and I LOVE this trem! The tuning stability also stays on par with the high quality of guitar that they build!

Jeff was great through the entire process and I couldn’t be happier with selling my other guitars and having this one as my #1 and only guitar!

Let me start by saying that I am a bit of a snob when it comes to my guitars and I don’t typically buy a guitar if I can’t put my hands on it first. That being said, I decided to buy a C2 from Citizen without ever playing one. I took a shot on the reviews of other people. Jeff and the crew have nailed it. The fit and finish on the guitar was immaculate. Tight neck pocket, nice fret ends, smooth frets, and set up perfectly out of the box. The finish (trans blue) is beautiful and the matching headstock is a nice touch. I never thought I’d really care about the luminlay side markers until I actually saw them in a dim area. Game changer. I have watched a lot of reviews of these guitars with upgraded pickups, but I never really saw anything about the standard pickups. I decided to get a standard to try out and post a review myself. I will say the standard model (Korean made) Citizen pickups are a little bland. The bridge pickup is pretty good and takes gain well, but the neck pickup can get a little flubby. When playing finger style in the neck position, you lose a lot of clarity and the notes kind of get lost a little. They aren’t bad at all, but if you’re used to pickups with a ton of clarity, you may want to go with the pro model. All that to say…I have really enjoyed this guitar, and am really glad I decided to take a chance on Citizen. If you’re on the fence about one of these guitars, just do yourself a favor and grab one.

Partnered with Jeff and team to get a C2 standard into my hands! Holy cow. Ive got a veritas, a fano, a fender, and a few other workhorses and this is taking the cake. Pickups are nice and warm, the citizen/deusenburg trem is a vibe, and thanks to a good string change before I ever hit a note, tuning stability is great.

For the price of a Mexican fender, youre getting some straight crazy craftsmanship and parts. Like all good guitars, this is much more than the sum of its parts, and I believe it has a lot to do with putting Jesus at the center of it.

I'm very happy with my Model CJ Standard! Not only is it aesthetically so pleasing, but an extremely high quality instrument that plays and sounds great. It has features that are genuinely useful to me as a worship musician. The satin neck feels great, the combination of Duesenberg tremolo and roller bridge are the smoothest I've ever used, and even in the standard model the pickups sound great. I also love everything that the company stands for, helping musicians not just sound great but better worship Jesus. I highly recommend!

I've been playing for 20+ years and have bought a lot of guitars, both big name and boutique. I can say, working with Jeff has been a wonderful experience! He's responsive, and actively helps find solutions to deliver exactly what I was looking for in a guitar made for worship. My new Citizen C3 not only looks and sounds amazing, but the feature set is what you'd normally find on a guitar costing 3x more. If you're in the market for a guitar, I can't recommend Citizen Guitars enough.

The owner Jeff answered all my questions, kept me in the loop every step of the way. Guitar came out so much better than the mock up photo. Plays like butter and the details are crisp and clean.

A guitar made for worship from a guy meant to serve The Lord. It’s such a blessing to have been able to work with Jeff on my cj build. The guitar is absolutely beautiful and plays amazing. I went with white color with a black pearloid pick guard. Lambertones v90 set with crema and a citizen brand duesenberg trem. Added a push pull for splitting the crema if I wished and a treble bleed. If you want a guitar that is truly amazing and customer service that is just as good. Citizen guitar is absolutely the best choice.

I have had my Citizen Guitar Model CS for a little over three years now and I can not be more happy with it! It has proven itself both live and in the studio. Out of all the guitars I own it has one of the absolute best necks hands down. Jeff has built a great company that produces great instruments and the customer service is fantastic. Citizen is one of those rare companies where people can instantly align with the mission and vision. Some folks in my circles had been posting about Jeff and the guitars he and his team build for some time, and when I finally got in touch, I understood what people had been saying. Jeff probably has the best balance of business professionalism and personal touch I’ve seen in a founder in a while…everything about the ordering process was smooth, customizations and notes were easy, but when it came down to communication, all of it was timely, clear, and human. When I took the guitar out of the box, it was obvious I was holding something special. I have played, and own, some high-end guitars. I now consider this one of them. If you’re on the fence about ordering from Citizen for yourself or the teams you lead, let me sway you. Purchasing from Citizen felt like an investment — in me (as a worship leader, musician, recording artist, etc.) and importantly, in a company I really believe in. The first is common. The second is rare.

I couldn’t be more thrilled with this guitar. Build quality is better than my Gibson Les Paul, pick ups are better than any guitar I’ve ever owned. Sustain is huge! Coil split makes it super versatile. Out of the box I had nothing to adjust whatsoever! This is my go to guitar for worship!

I have to say that I am in love with the guitar that I ordered. The quality of guitar you get for what you pay is bar none. Jeff was so easy going and answered any questions I had. He responded super quick and kept me up to date with everything happening. Pictures and videos don’t do the guitars craftsmanship proper justice. I was blown away with how the guitar felt and looked. Then I got to play it Saturday and Sunday for 5 total services, not including two rehearsals… I’m in love with the way it plays and sounds! The setup is great first off but the thing I noticed the most was the neck. The neck was so easy to play and I easily slid up and down with ease, not to mention the beautiful roasted maple used. What a great buy! If you’re on the fence, don’t be, the grass is greener on the other side!

I ordered the CJ pro model and I’ll be honest it was the best neck I’ve played. The quality of the guitar is top notch. Jeff has great customer communication.

This is an amazing instrument right out of the box. It looks amazing which helped me get my wife's approval and it plays beautifully so I am happy as well.

The satin finish on the neck is especially comfortable to play. Action and intonation were spot on and I was able to plug and play in my current rig with little to no adjustments.

I could get away with this one guitar for a full set of songs with how versatile it is and even at high gain it really rips.

I'm saving for the next one!

I went with the c2 pro and Could Not be happier! This thing plays as good as it looks and that is truly saying something. It has been a long time since I’ve picked up a guitar and felt Inspired to just play and feel like it’s something brand new again. I got this yesterday and realized I was playing for hours. The quality control from Jeff is like coming from a custom shop. I’ve never received a guitar, that I did not have to do some sort of setting up. Not just cheaper guitars but 2-3k+. This one came immaculate. Perfect action, no buzz, perfect frets all the way up the neck. And it’s just stunning. I recommend going pro or even custom. I love the locking tuners and the pro controls for coil splits and treble bleed it makes a difference and makes it the most versatile guitar I own. Quality 11/10. Looks 11/10, value 11/10, playability 11/10, sound 11/10, and body style / comfort 11/10. Seriously Jeff I am beyond happy, thank you!

As a worship leader and electric guitar player I connected with this. I decided to get the Model C2 electric guitar. The whole process was easy, Jeff has been great to work with making everything clear and going the extra mile. When I received my guitar I expected it to be great but I was amazed at how great it was. Smooth frets, beautiful looking and the sound just perfect. I didn't have to tweak much or anything on the pedalboard to get the sound I wanted. This instrument is reliable and worth it for church musicians that need a great instrument week in and week out.

Custom Paint Color, C1 model. I LOVE this guitar. The paint job is perfect in every single way - the silver flake is exactly how I envisioned it, and I so appreciated the communication early on to make sure that we both knew what style of silver sparkle I was after. The fit and finish on each and every piece is exactly right. The neck is set up straight, the string height is easy to play, and I didn't need to make any adjustments there. The pickup heights mesh well with my favorite Helix patch.

I appreciated your quick response on the trem system. The manual was a big help with getting that locking nut just a bit tighter for my preference.

I can't get over how stunning this guitar is. It feels so easy to play. Everything about it fits me just right - I'm a 5'7"" woman and really quite thin, and this is by far one of the most comfortable guitars I've ever played. Thank you, Jeff! I'm a very happy customer!

I bought a Citizen CS Pro from Jeff and I could not be happier. It’s become my number one guitar. The craftsmanship is outstanding. I have not complaints.

My favorite guitar I own… I own a C2 and the playability, sound, and build is better than most! It has caused me to get rid of a few guitars. Most of my other guitars don’t get the play time anymore. The neck… I just love the neck. It is perfect and it is the new standard for me. I absolutely love this guitar. Citizen Guitars are Christian own company whose purpose is to expand the kingdom. How much more could you want??? I would love to see some Citizen shirts and hats….

I got a CS from citizen and it’s definitely a tour level guitar. Very happy with the build quality and tone. The pickups are great and right up my alley. The luminlay side dots are a really nice touch. Jeff is great and very hands on. You won’t be disappointed
