Aaron Whitlock - Peace Church

Testimonial:

As far back as I can remember, I have never lived in a house without a Bible or a guitar. My father was an incredibly gifted guitar and piano player, but more importantly, he knew the Lord and made Him known. These two staples have shaped me into the man I am today and have become the cornerstone to my worship and service to the Lord. Of course, a guitar has nowhere near the same importance or impact on the world as the Bible, but as a tool, it can be used to edify the church and help it fulfill its mission to spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

Which brings me to Citizen guitars and the mission they have embarked upon. If you seek to serve Christ through your gifting as a guitar player, a Citizen guitar is for you. They have developed an amazing line of both production models and endless custom possibilities for guitar and bass, and they did it to provide them for the everyday church musician.

I am blessed and proud to have become a player and an endorser of Citizen guitars myself. I chose a production model C2 in crimson with the Citizen Duesenberg Tremolo. How does the base priced guitar with no upgrades compare to my other high-quality guitars at home? The answer is in the first 20 minutes after unboxing this guitar.

Visually and aesthetically pleasing. Extremely comfortable to hold and the weight is just right. The setup was clean and very playable, and the satin finish on the neck might be my favorite feature. All of that is important, but after plugging into my worship pedal board, I quickly realized this was a special guitar.

When playing clean it has a sparkle and chime that rivals my S-style but without the loss of body and volume. Adding overdrive brought out a nice fatness and smoothness that sounded good for rhythm in all three pickup settings. However, when I went into medium to high gain territory I was totally blown away. I could play full chords in the neck pickup, and it did not get muddy. I could play single note leads in the bridge pickup and not pierce my eardrums. The pinch harmonics were effortless and amazing. I could play this guitar for a whole set of diverse style songs and not need to change anything but pickup settings and volume control.

If you need a quality instrument that is recording and stage ready, please get yourself a Citizen guitar. They look good, they sound good, and every guitar sold and played in a church is helping to build the Kingdom to which we all as Christians claim our citizenship.
